Samurai

His words are all in present tense
in self-defense
pulled black and tight and whisper-dense
against a vast sarcastic sky.
This Samurai who never weeps
though battle wounds run fresh and deep
just asks to bleed
and so impede
the flow of dawn, the red good-bye.

I really enjoyed this poem. (particularily the phrase 'whisper-dense) You definitely have a gift with words! Keep it up.

two words....love.it. i love how you used colours in this, black and red; i could practically see them in my mind. the last couple lines are my favourite 'just asks to bleed' and 'the red good-bye' especially. woot woot for colour imagery, you just keep getting better and better. -m
